Career Prospects at Telstra

In my team, there is not much room for vertical promotions due to the flat hierarchical structure. With the organisational changes and flattening across the organisation, there is less opportunity to move vertically. However, there are more opportunities to move horizontally.

Once you roll off the grad program you are placed in a team where both the salary goes up as well as responsibility. Internal networking and giving good value to the business proves that you can work your way up.

Seems to be a fast-tracked succession for graduates.

I believe that the role I am in and the work that I do is cutting-edge and has great opportunity for growth.
