In my team, there is not much room for vertical promotions due to the flat hierarchical structure. With the organisational changes and flattening across the organisation, there is less opportunity to move vertically. However, there are more opportunities to move horizontally.

I've seen that it is more difficult for graduates to progress after they have rolled off - unless they have left the company and returned or if they happen to land in the right area in the right time - it may be more difficult with structural changes
