Please tell us about promotion possibilities and fill us in on what it takes to move up the ranks.
I haven't been here long enough to understand, but it seems largely based on attitude rather than aptitude or accomplishments
Graduate, Melbourne - 02 Nov 2017
Graduate to consultant level was quite easy, as long as you are exposed to many projects and display your capabilities. The process covered a self assessment, provide client feedback, update CV, manager's approval.
Graduate, Brisbane - 30 Oct 2017
Promotion is generally based on annual review by talking regularly with your manager.
Graduate, Canberra - 30 Oct 2017
At this stage of my career, promotion opportunities have been limited for me
Graduate, Adelaide - 30 Oct 2017
Performance is not really rewarded and you may be given substantially more responsibility but no promotion to recognise it
Graduate, Sydney - 30 Oct 2017
Usually by how many years you have worked rather than performance based
Graduate, Sydney - 30 Oct 2017
It's pretty tough in terms of promotion. You have to argue for it very hard
Midlevel, Sydney - 30 Oct 2017
Haven't personally moved up yet, quite a few hurdles to cover with juggling professional development and job experience
Graduate, Melbourne - 30 Oct 2017
Just with experience, being lower. Also have to prove somewhat a gained level of skill and interactions with builders, without the assistance of managers.
Graduate, Melbourne - 25 Oct 2017
Appears to be easier at higher levels.
Graduate, Brisbane - 23 Oct 2017
Generic corporate promotion process. Large company, plenty of opportunity for promotions through lower levels at least.
Graduate, Brisbane - 23 Oct 2017
I am not sure how to receive promotions or how to move up in the ranks.
Graduate, Newcastle - 20 Oct 2017
I believe from graduate to engineer can be challenging from what I have heard from people in that area as well as the requirements to be promoted. However, I have also heard that by being charted it will definitely help and allow this to happen faster
Graduate, Sydney - 18 Oct 2017
Opportunities there, but involves a lot of paperwork
Graduate, Melbourne - 18 Oct 2017
Just experience. Graduate to Engineer = 1.5-2 yrs Engineer to Senior Engineer = 7yrs (and need to be chartered) beyond that I'm not sure
Midlevel, Melbourne - 18 Oct 2017
I got promoted in probation due to opportunity to promote me and because of my work standard. This role I currently hold will be a role I am in for a while and I am not looking to move further up for the next few years as I'd like experience at all levels. My responsibilities will extend but I do not foresee a promotion. Laboratory structure works a little bit differently to other areas.
Graduate, Melbourne - 17 Oct 2017
The company provides many different opportunities to distinguish yourself and put yourself forward to advance up the ranks. The other main factor is experience.
Graduate, Brisbane - 17 Oct 2017
As long as you work hard and work towards a level about your current experience you will do well in promotions. Always be proactive, if you aren't proactive towards a promotion it will not happen for you
Graduate, Canberra - 17 Oct 2017
Promotion often based on time rather than performance.
Midlevel, Melbourne - 17 Oct 2017
There is a graduate program and from there it is a fairly logical progression, same as at most companies
