Being based in Karratha (a smaller community in north WA), there is a lot of interaction between colleagues/friends outside of work. These relationships transfer back to the workplace making the site team more effective, and work more effective. The leadership team is very supportive in the development of their teams, and collaboration between site and Perth based individuals.
Graduate, Karratha - 08 Feb 2018
Very supportive culture, most people in the office will make time to help & explain things - there are no such thing as dumb questions. Teamwork is paramount in Subsea and the function excels at working together to achieve outcomes sometimes within small time frames. Graduates are valued within the organisation.

Leader-follower culture, but where followers have a say and generally shouldn't be afraid of what they say being used against them. Teamwork isn't a problem, at least not in my area/experience, but obviously it can be annoying having to chase down people in other teams. There are a number of events now and then for e.g. the graduate community to socialise and get to know/meet one another. Some teams do regular (e.g. monthly) breakfast/dinners/after work drinks.

Supportive peers and overall an inclusive culture within the workplace. Very supportive community groups that are far reaching within the company (gender, reconciliation and LGBTI+) There are lots of people who are happy to support each other both in a formal and informal capacity. Social culture is good, but depends on the function.
