My current role is in connection initiation team in Western Power. Very hectic environment. My day to day responsibilities includes validation of the application we receive. My area of expertise includes application for connection disconnection, single residential, small commercial, small multi residential, temporary supply and unmetered supply.

Involved in the design, so looking after the early stages of the project. Providing options, high-level costs, contract management to facilitate design options

I am responsible for design and design outsourcing support, guidelines and standards updates, field trial management etc for a number of projects.

My role and responsibilities are generally interesting and I feel like I am learning a lot. Sometimes it feels like things can be unnecessarily difficult or slow.

My role changes every 6 months, as part of the graduate program. Every 6 months I'm exposed to different teams, doing work for that team and the teams would train me to get to a level adequate enough to be helpful to the team and carry out day to day responsibilities within the team.
