Hiring Business Unit: Systems Engineering (SE)

This is hiring for year 2018 intake. Target Start Month - February 2018

We provide an exciting opportunity for you

The VMware Systems Engineer (SE) is a high-impact, highly visible role in building and sustaining customer relationships, responsible for ensuring pervasive enterprise adoption of VMware software and solutions. The SE works very closely with our sales team and the Specialist Line of Business (LoB) to build long-term business relationships and drive successful outcomes for both customers/partners and VMware.

You will be challenged on technical sales calls, onsite demonstrations and presentations, solution architecting, building business case and justifications to assist the customer to understand VMware technology, its impact on their business and the benefits that can be realized.

Last and not least, we deliver amazing IT integration experience. Whether it is a creative integration for automating DNS, or connecting a storage plugin from a hardware vendor, our customers choose us because we work well with others. On this team, we don’t write integrations, we aren’t developers, but we make existing integrations work. An example would be making a simple JavaScript tweak, but those small pieces are a part of our competitive success too.

The future team member will spend the majority of his or her time in front of customers in Victoria with occasional travel to other states e.g. SA and WA. Many meetings are done thru Skype and WebEx as well.

When not with customers, supporting the extended team and educating other people at VMware, as well as our partners and customers. Being on this team means sharing what you’ve learned from time to time.

The world of IT is in the midst of a great upheaval. While some are confused or struggling in the Cloud First world, VMware is surging on record growth across its security, cloud and mobility solutions. We finished 2016 strong and have much yet to do. To meet this demand, VMware is hiring!
