Dependent on the module which you are completing at the time; day to day duties can significantly alter. Most recently I was working in contract administration which meant I spent a lot of time working from a computer and dealing with financial sectors of the site. I have now moved into a supervision role which sees me spending a majority of my day out on site in a live environment understanding the procedures and processes of the structure.

Majority of the time I am satisfied with my day-to-day responsibilities. There are always going to be less exciting tasks that have to be done, however with the right attitude, I have been given challenging tasks outside my role. For example, our Site Office did not meet the requirements of our team. Therefore a renovation was required to include more meeting spaces, collaborative areas and a reception. I was given the responsibility to manage this $100,000 Refurbishment from Design Phase through to Construction Phase. This was a highly rewarding experience as I was able to learn about Programming, People Management, Safety, Quality, Construction Works, and met many subcontractors. From there, I was given the responsibility to Procure the Site Sheds for the workers on Site.
