Pros and cons of working at Microsoft

Pros

  • Working on big scale projects, employee benefits, working on household name products

  • Flexibility

  • The readiness training is out of this world. You're sent overseas the first three months to ready you in your department from people in the business who are the best in their field. You don't have to worry about paying out of your pocket as the company covers all the cost, they invest in you.

  • The people, love for tech, good company

  • Strong autonomous work culture, where management 110% entrust intern/graduate to work directly with clients to make an impact and add value.

Cons

    • Lots of processes and procedures

    • Internal processes

    • You learn to run before you can crawl, this is a good and bad thing about the company. However, I wouldn't want it anyway because my self-growth has sky rocketed in the short few months I've been onboard

    • No enough cultivation of community amongst intern/graduate.

    • The main offices is in North Ryde
