Culture at Leidos

9.2
9.2 rating for Culture, based on 19 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
Culture is pretty good, but heavily dependent on the project you are on and that particular team. Lots of variability between teams due to classified nature of the work.

Flexible working hours, can speak to anyone - including the CEO, everyone is very nice

In terms of socialising the organisation wants you to bring yourself which is nice as you don't need to fit into a 'cookie cutter mould'. Management are really supportive and are involved with initiatives across the organisation and willing to invest in junior staff.

Friendly and passionate colleagues, frequent Friday night drinks and going out for lunch. Working on different projects can cause a bit of separation from other staff. Cooperate culture focuses a lot on the company values which can make it appear a little uptight.

Fantastic. Everyone is aware of one another and their individuality, and respects them thusly.

All of my colleagues are friendly, welcoming and helpful. There seems to be a good relationship between everyone in my team. There isn't much socialising after work, mostly due to location, however the team does go out and have fun for some lunches. The company is very flexible when it comes to start and finish times. Dress code is not very strict at all unless there are clients or other important people visiting.

Culture in the office is very friendly. Team members are very helpful and supportive. People outside our team are friendly too. Colleagues in higher up positions treat you equally and with respect. They're not condescending. After hours: people go out to drinks on Friday nights as an opportunity to socially interact. People seem to be a bit more sociable in the past year, was very hard for me to join or get involved in a conversation. It seemed to have been extravert-dominated culture at the time, but that may have changed this year with some of the employees leaving and new graduates/interns coming in. Structure: I'm in a fairly autonomous team. My team consists of a project manager, three team leaders. The rest are mainly just regular employees. The team leaders mainly talk to the project manager and liaise with customers. The team leaders and other team members are very helpful in completing tasks. Socialising at this workplace does appear to be difficult due to the nature of the work and the struggles of finding a topic to talk about.

Approachable bosses, Friendly coworkers, Good after work events
Graduate, Melbourne - 13 Feb 2020
Everyone is friendly and approachable. Most teams have drinks after work on Fridays. Occasionally there are pizza lunches. The higher-ups try to keep everyone informed about company direction at every level, all the way from the top to the bottom.

Have enjoyed working with and hanging out with my colleagues during and after hours. It's incredibly easy to socialise with my colleagues and there is a strong culture of collaboration and support. Even though there is a structure, there is a strong feeling of approach-ability even amongst upper leadership

There doesn't feel like there is a regular hierarch here, there isnt a boss bossing everyone around. It is great. They are people leaders, and are always there to help you. There is great teamwork and cooperation in my team. When someone is stuck, they ask others around them, and everyone then bounces ideas off each other until they can figure it out. It is a great place work! There are events employees can attend after work hours, for example, my team is going bowling next Friday after work, and everyone in the office is invited. It is a great way to get to know some people you don't work with directly.

The company culture is great. Everyone is welcoming and happy to help you with anything you need. Within the controllers team we have regular meetings and functions which are fun. The team get along really well, we eat lunch together and have chats every day.

Some executives have offices next to ours, open plan cubicles with low height (about 1.2m), team focused social groups, all teams are approachable. After work on Fridays we go out for drinks and socialise amongst those who wish to come.
