2019 John Holland Graduate Program – Communications
Location: VIC
John Holland is a fully integrated infrastructure and property group. Operating across Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia, we have been transforming city skylines, connecting regional centres and providing vital infrastructure for more than six decades.
We believe the way we engage with communities and stakeholders is as important as the way we design and construct brilliant engineering solutions. We want to set new standards in the community and stakeholder space, and we're looking for the best of the best to deliver exceptional engagement for major Victorian infrastructure projects such as West Gate Tunnel, Metro Tunnel, and Level Crossing Removals.
As a Communications Graduate you will be involved in engaging project stakeholders and the local community, drafting tailored communications for multiple channels, identifying proactive media opportunities and devising strategies to mitigate construction impacts, all while working closely with some of the best talent in this field.
If you believe in the power of outstanding communications and engagement, thrive in complex, issues rich environments and are excited by the challenge of setting new standards, then we'd love to hear from you.
Our John Holland Global Graduate Program provides an opportunity to gain well-rounded experience both in technical and soft skills, whilst working for one of Australia's leading and most diverse engineering, construction and services providers. We are proud that many of our past graduates are now in various senior roles throughout the business and we look forward to developing the next leader in you.
Throughout the two-year program you will be supported through soft skills development, on-the-job experience and training, and opportunities to build lasting relationships with senior leaders representing John Holland's diverse operations. Our projects are located in both metropolitan and regional areas, so it is essential that you are prepared to relocate if required.
We understand that our greatest resource is our people. We pride ourselves on being a market leader in targeting training, career development and remuneration. We provide long-term career options within an equal opportunity workplace where we recognise the importance of flexibility and a healthy work-life balance.
It's an exciting time for us, with billions of dollars of work to deliver. We need the right people with the right attitude to help us succeed.

Working for a rail business means there is a need for night shifts, weekend shifts and long periods of long shifts. It is not all the time, but it is also not a rare occurrence.
