GSK IBL - Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS) Engineering Associate (Boronia)

Our pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Boronia is GSK's largest manufacturing facility in the Southern Hemisphere exporting to over 30 markets around the world. It is also the fourth-largest sterile facility housing a state-of-the-art Blow-Fill-Seal production line. Blow-Fill-Seal uses innovative technology for advanced antiseptic liquid medicines.

As the Engineering Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the site's capability, engagement and utilisation of the GPS tools and processes, in implementing sustainable business improvements. The role relies on engaging our leaders, learning our processes and guiding out teams in using the GSK Production System tools, (based on lean principles), to drive performance across Zero Accidents, Zero Defects & Zero Waste.

This is a highly influential & visible role, it provides a unique opportunity to works across multiple levels and multiple departments at the site, and whilst exposing you to our production processes and a world class production system. It also provides an opportunity to work within a small, but passionate, capable, supportive and highly engaged team.

What we're looking for in a candidate:

• You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelors Degree in Science, Engineering, Pharmaceuticals or a related discipline
• An interest in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry is favourable
• Strong Technical Skills
• Initiative and an eagerness to learn
• High attention to detail, rigor and process
• Excellent project management, to manage and prioritise multiple ongoing projects
• Demonstrated ability and desire to learn (quickly)
• Teamwork, ability to build and maintain relationships
