You'll get to work with experienced professionals who'll guide you to be your best. You can expect to develop your networks, collaborate with specialists, learn from mentors and study for postgraduate qualifications. As part of the Law team, you will be part of the expanding EY legal network, which includes offices in the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas. The Law teams have a global footprint, comprising of over 2,100 lawyers across 80 countries.
What degree, which service line?
We're looking for students:
- Studying a law degree
- With an interest in taxation law, trusts and commercial law
- With an interest in advising high net worth individuals, family groups and businesses
Eligibility
- To apply for our Clerkship, you are required to be:
- In your penultimate year of study
An Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident. International students should refer to our criteria at www.ey.com/au/careers/intl before applying

Big employer = hard to navigate takes a while to build your own brand.
Long hours, pressure.
It can be quite disempowering and impersonal, and you often do not have a say in the engagements or projects that you work on; and are allocated into long term projects with little consultation.
Being shared across ACG and not being able to focus more on interest areas.
I feel like there is nothing distinguishing it from its competitors. Also working for such a big company gives me the impression that I'm not making any real impact. I also can't relate to most of the company - my team is too specialised.
