Culture at DuluxGroup

9.1
9.1 rating for Culture, based on 7 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
This organisation has an excellent culture for creating a good work life balance. Rarely am I expected to work overtime however there are times when overtime is necessary to complete the task. Dulux has a pioneering approach to safety and it is one of the highest priorities of every sub business within the group. Upper management put a huge effort into meeting the new graduates and spending time with current graduates through the graduate program.

The culture is one of inclusion, dedication and enthusiasm. Most people don't see this as 'just a job' and are genuinely invested in the success of the business.

As we are a small team in Cabot's we have a great culture. We are a very open team and communicate everyday. This is what sets us apart from other SBU's within DuluxGroup.

Office hours are flexible, everyone comes in around 8:30-9am and leaves from 4:30pm onwards, after hours is appreciated if needed to hit a deadline. As long as you are doing all your work and doing it well no one really watches the clock, it is all about attitude. The culture is very supportive, you are encouraged to ask questions. People usually have lunch at their desks or in the communal table in their pods but occasionally will go out for team lunches. Drinks and getting together for celebration of achievements happen ad hoc but semi-regularly in the marketing/customer marketing department. Generally people are very friendly and want to get to know you beyond work and work life balance is encouraged by line managers, working from home is always an option if you need it and can be trusted to use the time appropriately.

In the workplace, the culture at DuluxGroup is extremely involving and supportive. In practice, the hierarchy is very flat - graduates often work closely with senior managers on important projects. New and less experienced people are made to feel valued and part of the team. Outside of work, the culture is engaging. Colleagues will often catch up for meals or drinks to celebrate special events.
