POSITION SUMMARY

An opportunity has become available for a Trainee Zero Harm Advisor based in our Power Generation & Industrial business. This position will be based primarily in the Sydney/Wollongong area with an initial training period to be delivered at our Newcastle branch.

You will work across multiple sites, primarily in the Sydney/Wollongong area, providing Zero Harm leadership and support to assist with the successful delivery of Downer's Zero Harm objectives.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Highly motivated to learn and succeed, with the ability to work unsupervised
  • A good communicator, with the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Interested in digital technologies
  • A holder of a graduate diploma or degree, or be working towards, a diploma or higher qualification in Workplace Health and Safety or a safety related discipline

Desirable:

  • Able to demonstrate prior exposure to site environments within a related heavy industry;
  • Able to participate in short term work assignments in Newcastle and other Downer sites throughout Australia
  • Hold a Senior First Aid certificate
