From fighter aircraft, Navy ships and soldier systems, to intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance technologies, training in the Capability Pathway will ultimately lead to work within the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) - one of Australia’s largest program management, logistics, procurement and engineering services. CASG has operations in more than 70 locations throughout Australia and overseas. Our civilian workforce is responsible for managing the acquisition and sustainment of the equipment used by the Australian Defence Force (ADF) across air, land and sea domains – the operational success of the ADF depends on us.

The 18-month program consists of three six-month work rotations, at various locations around Australia, and includes assistance to achieve industry based professional recognition.

We are seeking applications from graduates in the following career Streams:

  • Engineering (including degrees in – Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Computer Systems, Computer Science, Software; Systems, Telecommunications)
  • Maritime Engineering and Naval Construction (Future Submarines and Ships) (including engineering degrees in – Mechatronic, Communications, Electrical, Electronic, Systems, Software, Mechanical, Naval Architecture)
  • Procurement and Contracting (including degrees in – Business, Commerce, Finance, Law) and
  • Logistics (for procurement and contracting graduates, a credit average must be achieved to be eligible) (including degrees in - Logistics, Business, Commerce, Economics, Management).

Quick Details:

  • Salary: APS 4: $67,100  pa + 15.4% super. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will advance to APS 5: $73,636 pa + 15.4% super.
  • Program: 18 months – 3 x 6 month rotations (one in Canberra)
  • Eligibility: Australian Citizens only
  • Intake: February or September
  • Location: Various (Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Newcastle and France)
