About Anabranch

Anabranch is a company builder. We create and launch businesses 100% in-house, from concept to full-scale operations.

Our approach is simple; we find broken markets and work closely with specially selected founders to design the business and create world-class products that will serve them properly. We support the founder to grow the concept into an operating business on an aggressive timeframe. Once the business is established, we continue to support with strategy, execution, M&A and exit advisory. Our mandate is to grow legendary companies, and this isn’t our first rodeo.

About the role

This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to play a lead role an exciting new agricultural venture.

Reporting directly to Anabranch Directors, you will be responsible for 50 acres of breathtaking land in the Blue Mountains of NSW. You will oversee the full ground preparation, planting, growing and harvesting process and work in conjunction with our broader team to ensure client requirements and quality standards are met.

It’s not a ā€œsit there and we’ll tell you what to doā€ kind of role. There is unlimited scope for the right person to help drive business strategy and establish a new agricultural enterprise from scratch. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, adaptable, and have the potential to grow with the business. We envisage this role as a long term partnership that will evolve into a senior manager position as you gain valuable experience.

What success looks like

To be successful in this role you will have a hands-on approach and possess a strong work ethic. You will take ownership of day-to-day farm operations and work with a high degree of autonomy. Your self-motivation, enthusiasm and vision will play an integral part in the planning and growth of our farming enterprise. You will have great interpersonal skills and the potential to manage a team as the business grows.

You’ll need skills to cover multiple bases, including:

  • Ground preparation, planting, fertilizer application, pest control, and harvesting
  • Operation of farming equipment
  • Irrigation management
  • Record keeping of all inputs and activities
  • Managing farm seasonal workers during harvest periods

Experience with farm management is not essential to this role - we believe in attitude and raw talent over experience. ā€˜Raw talent’ in this role means:

  • Exceptional work ethic
  • Common sense/ practical problem solving skills
  • Fast learner

If this is you, and you’re itching to ā€˜punch above your weight class’ and have a go, then get in touch!

If it’s not you, but you know someone who fits the bill, introduce us and we’ll gladly pay a $1,000 finder’s fee.
